Dissertation note: Thesis Bachelor of Science in Psychology University of Rizal System 2018 Summary: The study was conducted to determine the personality development and academic performance of student leaders in University of Rizal System Tanay Campus. The researchers made use of descriptive method of research and questionnaire -checklist as tools in gathering data. Purposive sampling was used to identify the number of respondents. A total of 90 student leaders of the co-curricular organizations at the University of Rizal System Tanay Campus were chosen to be the respondents of the study. Frequency, Percentage Distribution and Rank and Chi-Square were the statistical tools used in the study. The salient findings of the study were as follows: Most of the respondents are female 20 years old, 3rd year, and in terms of course, most respondents are taking Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. In terms of organization, majority of the respondents are from USSG and JMA, and most of them are holding the position of President. The results revealed that extent of personality development with respect to big five personality was "Much Developed". When grouped according to profile, student leaders who belong to age 18 are "Very Much Developed", male respondents were "Much Developed", and "Very Much Developed" in terms of year level, course, name of the organization and position held. The academic performance of student leaders was found to be Good. The study revealed that there is no significant relationship between personality development and academic performance of student leaders. Based from the aforementioned findings, the researchers had drawn the following conclusions: there is no significant relationship between personality development and academic performance of student leaders, the engagement of the respondents in organization developed their personality in terms of intermingling, behavior, and their emotions. Most of the respondents involved in the organization are females, third year, holding the position of president; and the respondents performed well academically even though they participate in the organization. The researchers offered the following recommendations: encourage co-students to participate in the extra-curricular activities and practice their ability in leadership, motivate and encourage the students to continue joining co-curricular activities in school like joining the organization, conduct seminars that can help the students to boost and enhance their ability to adapt and adjust in the different situation; and support and give the students chance to expose themselves inside and outside the school for them to develop their personality.
