This study aimed to find out the factors affecting the vocabulary refinement of Grade 10 Students in University of Rizal System, for the school year 2016 -2017 Study used the descriptive method of research. The respondents of the study were 95 Grade 10 students of University of Rizal System, during school year 2016-2017. The instrument used in the study was questionnaire checklist; treatments such us percentage and weighted mean were employed. Based on the findings of the study , the researchers conclude that majority of female respondents has 10,001-20,000 family income, uses Tagalog language, exposed in printed materials often used books in reading and whose parents are degree holder. The respondents vocabulary refinement results with moderately affected by the personal , family, school and media factor; in sex monthly family income language used exposed to at home , reading materials exposed and reading materials at home also results moderately affected regards with the vocabulary refinement of Grade 10 while both father and mother educational qualification results only affected.
