The project was a small agribusiness project being part of the requirements for Occupational Internship Program of the Bachelor of Agricultural Technology (Bachelor of Agricultural Technology) Curriculum. It encouraged the student to practice his competence in the management of entrepreneurial project. Sweet potato production was managed for five months. It was started on July 4, 2018 and terminated on November 30 2018. The project has a total area of 20,000 square meterswhich was planted with thirteen thousand three hundred thirty cuttings of sweet potato. The sweet potato cuttings were purchased at SitioNatadBrgy. Mamuyao, Tanay, Rizal. The OIP student managed all the activities such as land clearing, plowing, harrowing, purchasing of supplies and materials, application of chicken manure, cutting of vines, holing and planting, weeding, harvesting, cleaning, washing, sorting, grading tubers, weighing, marketing, and record keeping. A total of four thousand five hundred twenty two (4,522) kilogram of sweet potato were harvested and sold in a wholesale basis at 40 pesos per kilogram. After sorting, 700 kilograms were separated because of damage and were marketed at three hundred pesos (Php300.00) per 50 kilogram bag. The capital investment was seventy three thousand sixty nine pesos and eleven centavos (Php73,069.11) while the total sales amounted to one hundred eighty five thousand eighty pesos (185,080.00), It obtained a net income of one hundred twelve thousand ten pesos and eighty nine centavos (Php112,010.89) and an ROI of one hundred fifty three point twenty nine percent (153.29%).
