Thesis (Bachelor of Science in Mathematics major in Computer Science) -- University of Rizal System-Morong.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: The researchers focused on the development and evaluation of Scitech Android Application. This study aimed to enhance the teaching learning process between the teachers and students through android application. The researchers based their lessons on the curriculum of grade VI in Science and Technology. This study was conducted at University of Rizal System-Morong Laboratory Elementary School during the first semester 2015-2016. There were 100% of grade VI students, five information Technology Instructors and five Science Teachers. The program was designed and created using Adobe Flash and Adobe Photoshop for picture enhancement and AMR for voice over. The researchers used Adobe Flash as a plug-in in developing the system. Descriptive and Developmental research was used by the researchers during the conduct of the study to determine and analyze the difference between the levels of acceptability of the two groups of respondents and the developed of Scitech Android Application. To Determine the level of acceptability of the developed program in terms of accuracy, acceptability, user-friendliness, workability, completeness, portability, modifiability and clarity weighted mean was used to find the significant difference on the perception of respondents in the level of acceptability, independent t-test was applied. The result of the study showed that it gained a weighted mean of 4.07 for instructors and 4.17 for the students on the perception of the respondents on the level of acceptability of the program with the verbal interpretation of "Much Accepted". Based on the finding and conclusion, the following are highly recommended that the school may provide financial support for the developed system to be an additional tool in teaching the preparatory student, follow up studies may be conducted for further enhancement of the mobile learning for better understanding of the preparatory students.
