Dissertation note: Thesis (Bachelor in Psychology) -- University of Rizal System-Morong. Summary: EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: The Study was conducted during the school year 2014-2015 entitled Coping Strategies of Parents to their Children with Autism. It aimed to determine the coping strategies of parents to their children with autism. The study was conducted in San Isidro Sped Center Antipolo City. Thirty (30) respondents were chosen using the purposive sampling technique. And this includes the coping strategies of parents. The descriptive design was used to gather information needed in the study. In data gathering, questionnaire checklist was used. The variables for the profile were Educational attainment, monthly Family Income and age. These were considered in relation to the aspects such as reframing, passive appraisal, spiritual support, social support and professional support which were looked into their extent of coping strategies of parents. Frequency, rank and percentage were used to determine the profile of the respondents. Weighted mean was used find the coping strategies with respect to aspects. Finally Two-way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) was used to determine the significant difference in terms of profile with respect to aspect.The data were tallied, tabulated, analyzed and interpret.The result showed that, out of 30 respondents, 15 respondents belong to College Graduate, 10 respondents has a monthly family income of 5,000 below and 15 respondents belong 35-40 years old. Based on the findings professional support was the determining factor on the coping strategies of parents, which ranked first with an average weighted mean of 3.55 and verbally interpreted as "strongly agree". It was recommended that the school should provide seminars or training's that can help develop the coping strategies of parents of children with autism. The government as well as the SPED centers should help the parents by supporting collaboration across programs that can reduce some of the confusion and difficulties that they may experience.
