Thesis (Bachelor of Science in Psychology) -- University of Rizal System-Morong.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: The study aimed to determine the relationship of social media to the adolescents' attitude. The subject of the study were 60 college students in University of Rizal System, Morong. The study used descriptive survey utilizing quantitative questionnaire checklist. The data were gathered and interpreted. Mean was used to determine the relationship of social media to the adolescents' attitude in terms of friendliness, self confidence and open mindedness. To determine the extent used of social media to the adolescents' attitude with respect to facebook, youtube, twitter and online games, pearson product-moment correlation coefficient (Pearson R) was used. The social media is sometimes used by the respondents and has a relationship to the friendliness, self confidence and often in open mindedness. Based on the findings , it was recommended that the school should provide assignments, projects and researches to the students about the relationship of social media to their attitude. Social media can have a negative effect to the adolescents' attitude. They should therefore know how to use the social media into positive ways. Parallel study maybe conducted using other variables.
