EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: The study is entitled social role of male and female grade conscious students. The main objective of this research was to determine the extent of social role of male and female with respect to norms, expectation, student's responsibility and role identity. The purpose of this study was to know if there is a significant difference between social role of male and female grade conscious students as the respondents. The subjects of the study were the selected grades 7,8,9, and 10 students of Rizal National Science High School in Binangonan, Rizal. They are composed of 100 students, 25 each in every grade level. In getting the subjects, random sampling was used. The collected data were treated, interpreted, analyzed, summarized and presented the comprehensive findings of the study. Based from the findings, the following conclusions were drawn: social role has no significant difference between the male and female grade conscious students. Also, the extent of the social role in school norms and student responsibilities is 3.97 and 3.95 with a verbal interpretation "often", however the extent of the social role in expectations and role identities is 4045 and 4.35 with a verbal interpretation "always". Thus, the null hypothesis of role identities was rejected while on the factors norms, student's responsibilities and expectations the hypothesis was accepted. Therefore, based on the findings that the researchers gathered, there is no significant difference between the social role of male and female grade conscious students with respect to school norms, student's responsibility, and expectations, while there is a significant difference in terms of role identities. The researcher recommended that parents and school administration should expose the students to different physical activities to balance it from study. Also, pressure from their study should be minimized by letting the students express themselves in their own ways and parallel study may be conducted using other variables in other school to compare and give clarification on the study.
