EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This study aimed to determine the Gender Perspective and social status of barangay officials as perceived by the constituents in the selected municipalities of Rizal province. The respondents of the study comprises of 20 respondents from Cardona, 20 from Morong, 20 from Binangonan, 20 from Tanay and 20 from Teresa with a total number of 100 respondents. The researchers used random sampling technique in choosing their respondents to get the needed sample representatives. The descriptive survey method of research was adapted in the study. Ideas are collected and gathered from different mediums like books, dictionaries, undergraduate thesis and some websites. The questionnaire-checklist was used as an instrument in gathering data to determine the extent gender perspective and social status of Barangay officials as perceived by the constituent in the selected municipalities of Rizal province. This study used random sampling technique having 100 constituents in the selected municipalities in Rizal province. Descriptive type of research was used, specifically, the technique using the researchers made questionnaire checklist as the main instrument in gathering data. The data that were gathered tabulated and interpreted. Weighted mean was used as statistical treatments to determine the extent of gender perspective of female and male barangay officials as perceived by the constituents with respect to gender role, gender bias and gender related programs. Weighted mean was used as statistical treatments to determine the extent of social status of female and male barangay officials as perceived by the constituent with respect to relation to others, responsiveness and equality. Based from the findings identified by the researchers to the barangay officials as perceived by the constituent, it shows that men and women are both able to perform their duties in the barangay and impartial in helping either men or women. It is not important what gender preference is, what's important is that they can help as long as they can. It appears that today's generation the society accepted the fact that there is equality between men and women in any aspects of work. On the basis of the foregoing and conclusions the researchers offers recommendation, the barangay officials should conduct seminars for gender preference and health programs and recommend joining organization that promoting programs for women and LGBT. The barangay officials as perceived by the constituents should also conduct health programs and recommend joining organization that promotes programs for women and LGBT. Take an immediate action and response in the needs of the people in their barangay and giving scholarship programs to the people in their barangay who cannot support their financial needs.
