EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: The study aimed to determine the difficulties and adjustments of the children in selected child care institutions in Rizal. The subjects of the study were the children in Felicisimo Aurora Bahay Kalinga Inc. (FABKI) at Baras, Rizal and children's Home "Salvation Army" at Tanay, Rizal. They were chosen through purposive sampling. There were a total of 49 respondents. The data were statistically treated using percentage, rank distribution, average weighted mean and one way analysis of variance ANOVA. The descriptive research design was used to gather the information needed in the study. The questionnaire checklist was used in collecting was used in collecting the data needed. Based on the study in terms of age, respondents have no significant differences in their perception relative to the difficulties and adjustments of the children's in child care institutions, in terms of place of origin, respondents have no significant differences in their perception relative to the difficulties and adjustments of the children's in child care institution and in terms of institutions, respondents have no significant differences in their perception relative to the difficulties and adjustment of the Children's in Child Care Institutions. The researchers found that, there is no significant difference on the Difficulties and Adjustments of the Children's in Child Institutions with respect to personal, personal, social and environmental aspects in terms of age, sex, place of origin, number of the children in the family and name of institution, thus, the null hypothesis is rejected. It was concluded that in Personal, Social and environmental difficulties and adjustment of the respondents, Children in selected child care institution belong to the age of 10 to 17 with 5 to 6 members in the family and most of them come from Tanay. All the children in selected child care institution often experienced difficulties and adjustment in the their personal and social life and always with regards to his or her environment. The profile of the children in the selected institution has nothing to do with difficulties and adjustment. On the profile of the Respondents in terms of Age, Sex and place of origin. In terms of age, out of 49 respondents, 16 or 32.7% belongs to age bracket of below 10 years old. In terms of sex out of 49 respondents, 25 or 51% belongs to female and 24 or 49% belongs to male. In terms of place of origin, out of 49 respondents, 16 or 32.7% come from Tanay, Rizal and the extent of the difficulties and adjustments of the respondents in selected child care institutions with respect to personal, social and environmental aspects. With respect to personal aspect, this aspect obtained an average of 4.14. In terms of social aspect obtained an average of 4.26. Thus also recommended that institutions may provide programs, activities and seminar to cope and adjust well the social, personal and environmental difficulties.Institutions may provide educational seminar for the children and should have activities with parents or guardian that can strengthen the parent and child relationship. Research relative to this encouraged.
