Summary: EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This study aimed to find out the extent of the factors influencing the development of self-efficacy of college of science students during school year 2013-2014. The subjects of the study were 150 college of science students, composed of: 40 students from Bachelor of Science in Guidance and Counseling, 40 students from Bachelor of Science in Psychology, 40 students from Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and 30 students from Bachelor of Science in Mathematics major in Computer Science. This study used descriptive method specifically descriptive survey utilizing questionnaire checklist as main tool in gathering the needed data. Frequency and percentage were used to determine the respondents profile. Computed mean was used to show the extent of the factors in the development of self efficacy. One way analysis of variance (ANOVA) was used to determine the significant difference of the factors with respect to the respondents profile. Based on the summary of findings, the following conclusions were drawn. Majority of the respondents are female, middle borns and with monthly family income of 5,000 Php. To 9,999Php. Both mothers and fathers of the respondents are high school graduates. Experiences, social model, social persuasion and psychological responses are factors of the extent development of self-efficacy of the respondents. There is significant difference on the extent of the development of self-efficacy of the respondents with respect to social persuasion in terms of fathers educational attainment. The course of the respondents influence the extent of the development of their self-efficacy with respect to all the factors namely; experiences, social models, social persuasion and psychological responses. It was recommended to the students to attend seminars/lecture forum on personality development which could enhance self efficacy and they should intensify their interpersonal relationship with other people by attending socialization activities. Parallel studies may be conducted considering other variables.
