Summary: EXECUTIVE SUMMARY This study was conducted to determine the present level of performance of person with intellectual disability and to develop appropriate manipulative activities in learning to address the weakness found during the course of the study. The research was conducted during the academic year 2013-2014 in Tanay, Rizal. The subject of the study was person with intellectual disability. The research used case study and descriptive research design. Assessment tools such as sample worksheets were given to the child to determine what subject he encountered difficulty, interview to parent and teacher, questionnaire and observational checklists were utilized to gather information regarding the health history and present level of performance of person with Intellectual Disability and to determine his strengths and weaknesses. The researcher conducted observation and interview where the person with intellectual disability encountered difficulty. The result of data showed that the person with intellectual disability performed well in different cognitive skills including the child academic subjects such as Mathematics (Comparing Objects, Color Recognition, Shape Recognition), English (Listening skills, reading Skills, Memory Recall). On the other hand, he needed help in terms of Counting Numbers, Sequencing Numbers, Adding Numbers especially Writing. To address the needs and weaknesses of person with intellectual disability, Manipulative Materials were developed. Topics were carefully selected to meet objectives set for person with intellectual disability to achieve desired learning outcomes. It was concluded that the child with Intellectual Disability had difficulty not only in cognitive skills but also in fine motor skills specifically in Writing. The researchers recommended providing tutor to the child after school specifically in Math to enhance his numerical skills, providing occupational therapy with regard to fine motor skills to develop the child's writing skills, watching educational programs that focus more on the numerical skills and conducting study on the acceptability and effectiveness Manipulative Activities.
