Dissertation note: Thesis (Bachelor of Elementary Education major in Content Courses) -- University of Rizal System-Morong. Summary: EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This study aimed to determine the employability of graduates of Bachelor of Elementary Education major in content courses from school year 2010-2014. The details of their profile, employment status and school-related factors that affect their status were accounted. The survey was done for 5 months in a combination of visits, online mode and interview. It also assessed the faculty, curriculum and material resources offered in the University of Rizal System, College of Education as to catering the demands of the job market. For this descriptive study, a questionnaire checklist was used to determine and analyze the employability of Bachelor of Elementary Education Major in content courses graduates of 2009-2014. 182 graduates of the program with a response rate of 50% completing 91 accomplished tracer study forms out of 182 graduates. Frequency and percentage distribution were used in determining the profile of the respondents in terms of sex, age, civil status, year graduated, eligibility, occupation, monthly income, years in teaching/working and highest educational attainment, as well as in determining their employment status in terms of nature employment, nature of appointment, nature of work, type employing agency, job waiting time and mode of entry in the job and to determine if there is any significant relationship on the profile and their employment status, pearson chi square was used. To find out if there is significant relationship between profile of the respondents and evaluation of the institution, pearson chi square was used. To determine if there is a significant relationship between employment status and respondents evaluation of the institution, pearson chi was used. The findings revealed that in terms of sex, majority of the respondents are females, in terms of age, majority is in the age bracket of 25-29, in terms of civil status, majority of the respondents are single, in terms of year graduated of the respondents are from 2010 graduates. 71 respondents are Licensure Examination for Teachers passers. In terms of employment status, 81 of the respondents are employed as a classroom teacher and have 0 to 2 years working experience in a public agency while there are a smaller number of those who took their masters and doctorate degree. BEE graduates are employed as regular/ permanent in their current or present job either as professionals or as a pharmacy assistant but most respondents were in course related job. The graduates waiting time before they employed were less than 3 months and they earned undergraduate degree competencies which match their current designations/positions. Based from the findings, the conclusion was drawn; BEE graduates were employed in accordance with their finish degrees. The faculty, curriculum and material resources met the qualification standard set by higher authorities. It is recommended that regular monitoring of graduates should be observed, tracer studies should be regularly conducted and parallel studies may be conducted considering other variables.
