Dissertation note: Thesis (Bachelor of Elemenutary Education major in Special Education) -- University of Rizal System-Morong. Summary: EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This study aimed to developed and determine the effectiveness of video presentation in teaching dance persons with autism. The subjects of the study were the persons with autism, and the respondents who evaluated the video presentation were the Special Education teachers and Physical Education teachers. The study conducted in Maybancal Elementary School SY 2014-2015. This study utilized the descriptive developmental and experimental research design. The study utilized the questionnaire checklist and rubrics for dancing in order to gather the needed data. Qualitative discussion, mean and dependent t-test were the statistical tool used to answer the problems in line with the study. The study revealed that there was a significant difference on the level of performance of persons with autism before and after exposure to the video presentation with respect to popular dance and contemporary dance wherein the obtained p-value of both 0.000 are less than 0.05 level of significance. Moreover the average mean obtained on the level of acceptability of the video presentation in teaching dance with respect to objectives, contents and presentation as evaluated by the respondents was 4.7 and verbally interpreted as "Very much acceptable". Also, the mean scores obtained on the level of performance with respect to steps and body movements increased after exposure to the video presentation. Therefore, it was concluded that the developed video presentation is an effective material in teaching popular and contemporary dances for person with autism and can be used as a tool in teaching learning process. The researchers recommended to conduct a study on the effectiveness of video presentation in teaching dance for persons with disabilities, conduct follow up study that will focus on different kinds of dance; and utilize the developed video presentation in teaching dance for persons with autism.
