Dissertation note: Thesis (Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Physical Sciences) -- University of Rizal System-Morong. Summary: EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This study entitled "Effectiveness of Computing Software in Selected Lessons in Physics for Grade 9" was conducted to determine the level of effectiveness of the developed computing software as instructional material for the selected lessons in Physics for Grade 9 students of Teresa National High School during the Academic year 2015-2016. There were forty (40) respondents from fifth section of Grade 9 students of Teresa National High School. They were subdivided into two groups: control and experimental group. and they were selected randomly. The study was descriptive, developmental and experimental (Research method) in nature. The researchers developed researchers' made-test composed of sixty (60) item questions was validated by selected Science teacher and it was administered to the selected Grade 10 students for item analysis until it summed-up to thirty (30) item questions that served as Post-test and pre-test. Dependent t-test was used to determine the level of performance of the control and experimental group as revealed by pre-test and post-test results with respect to the different lessons. Independent t-test was also used to determine the level of performance of both control and experimental group as revealed by the post-test result. The findings revealed that there were no significant differences found with respect to work, power and projectile motion on the level of performances of both control and experimental group as revealed by the pre-test and post-test results after they were exposed to traditional teaching method and developed instructional material. Hence, with or without the helped of developed computing software students have high level of performance on the given topics.
