Dissertation note: Thesis (Bachelor of Secondary Education major in English) -- University of Rizal System-Morong. Summary: EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This was conducted to survey on the Tagalog words used in selected towns in Rizal Province. It was undertaken during the Academic year 2015-2016 in Teresa, Morong and Cardona. The subjects of the study were the residents of the mentioned municipalities. They were divided according to their ages and geographical locations. This study used a descriptive survey and correlational design of research. A checklist was administered to the informants to survey the Tagalog words used by them according to nouns, adjectives and verbs. Findings revealed that informants used Tagalog words depending on their ages and geographical locations according to nouns, adjectives and verbs. From the summary of findings, there were conclusions drawn. First, there were different Tagalog words used by the informants who live in Teresa, Morong and Cardona. Second, in terms of age, most of the informants used the same Tagalog words. Lastly, age and Geographical location play an important role on how language differs. In the light of findings and conclusion drawn, these were recommended: first, the glossary can be used by the teachers as a guide in understanding the language used by their students. Second, it can also be used by the students to be knowledgeable about the other terms of the Tagalog words. Third, parallel study may be conducted considering the extent of used of the Tagalog words and other variable such as the manner of pronunciation. Lastly, validation of the surveyed Tagalog words under any bigger number of respondents can be conducted.
