Dissertation note: Thesis (Bachelor of Technology major in Drafting Technology) -- University of Rizal System-Morong. Summary: EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This study aimed to utilize a Coconut Husk in Making Paper. Specifically, this study attempted to utilize the Coconut Husk Paper Fiber in Making Paper, perform try-out and revision, and evaluate the level of acceptability of the product in terms of economic aspect, eco-friendly, appearance and usefulness. Likewise, it also determined the significant difference on the evaluation made by the respondents on the Coconut Husk Paper and the Commercial recycled paper in terms of the mention variables. Two (2) groups of respondents were selected for the evaluation of the project. The groups of respondents included thirty two (32) Drafting Technology students and eight (8) Experts who evaluated the research output. To utilize the Coconut Husk Fiber in Making Paper, based from the experimentation of the coconut husk fiber in making paper, it can be fabricated in different size, shape, color and thickness which is comparable to the existing commercially recycled paper. Perform a try-out and revision. On the first trial, the researchers used (300g) of scratch paper to bind all the ingredients together but it does not bind. On the second trial, the measurement of the (200g) of starch powder, so the drying process was too much, it was exposed from the sun for about 8 hours, so the result of the product is being burred. Based from the findings, the level of acceptability of Coconut Husk Paper as revealed by the respondent's obtained an average weighted mean of 4.30, which is verbally interpreted as "Very Much Accepted" in terms of economic aspect. In terms of eco-friendly, the respondents evaluation got an average weighted mean of 4.38, which is verbally interpreted as "very Much Accepted" as revealed by the respondents. In terms of appearance, the respondent's evaluation got an average weighted mean of 4.15, which is verbally interpreted as "Much Accepted" as revealed by the respondents. Lastly, in terms of usefulness, the respondent's evaluation got an average weighted mean of 4.17, which is verbally interpreted as "Much Accepted" as revealed by the respondents. The acceptability of Coconut Husk in Making Paper with respect to the different variables, the coconut husk paper got an overall mean of 4.25, which is verbally interpreted as "Very Much Accepted". While in the commercial recycled paper got an overall mean of 3.95, which was verbally interpreted as "Much Accepted". The significant difference between the existing commercial recycled paper and the developed coconut husk paper, in terms of Economic Aspect and Appearance was foundout significant. While in the Eco-Friendly and Usefulness it was found out as not significant, On the basis of the above findings, the following are recommended: Further study should be made to improve the production. The product's style and textures should be improved. The production in coconut husk fiber should grained very well. The products should have a pleasant and different color. The farmers should consider raw materials which can be used coconut husk fiber to encourage other people to make organic produce paper. With this the price of raw materials that is much cheaper and this help farmers to gain more income in producing raw materials.
