EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This study aimed to determine Status of Tourist Spots in Sampaloc Tanay, Rizal and its local Development. The study was conducted in Sampaloc Tanay, Rizal during SY. 2012-2013. the respondents were the manager, supervisor, guests and the community. The researchers used a questionnaire checklist and distributed to 75 respondents to determine the status of tourist spots in Sampaloc. The statistical treatments used were frequency & rank distribution, weighted mean and ANOVA. The researchers concluded that number of tourist per year is the only variable that did not affect in determining the status of tourist spots in Sampaloc Tanay, Rizal. While age, gender, position, monthly family income, classification, location, number of personnel, number of visitors per month, number of tourists per year and price affect in determining the status of tourist spots in Sampaloc Tanay, Rizal. The effect of the tourist spots in Sampaloc Tanay, Rizal with respect to the economic, physical and social development was much observed as perceived by the respondents. Based on the findings and conclusions drawn, it was recommended that the price of the tourist products must be lessened so that everyone can afford. Some of the facilities must be improved. Future study on the status of tourist spots in Sampaloc Tanay, Rizal using other variables.
