EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This study deals on the development of improvised remote control convenience outlet with digital timer. This endeavor was conducted in the school year 2014-2015 at the University of Rizal System-Morong, in the College of Industrial Technology. This study developed the device using different materials modifying the existing remote control convenience outlet with digital timer. It was tested to electric fans and other related appliances or gadget. The researchers developed an evaluation instrument to measure its performance with respect to usefulness, safety and maintenance, durability and functionality. The respondents were the experts/professors in Electrical Technology and targeted one hundred percent (100%) of them. The third year students of BT-ELT were also used as respondents to rate the given variables. There were 40 students and chosen purposively since they are enrolled in the same course. The evaluation sheets were administered to them on their available time. This study used of the descriptive design utilizing survey method since this endeavor would like to determine the acceptability of the developed improvised remote control convenience outlet with digital timer. To further interpret the data gathered, the following statistical tools were utilized. To present the procedures in the development of improvised remote control convenience outlet with digital timer, qualitative description was used; to present the try-out and revision, qualitative description was used. To determine the acceptability of the improvised remote control gadget convenience outlet with digital timer, weighted mean was used. To determine the significant difference on the evaluation made by the experts and the students, independent t-test was applied. Based from the summary of findings, that the improvised remote control convenience outlet with digital timer is extremely useful, safe and easy to maintain, durable and functional. Experts and students have the same perception on the developed material with regard to usefulness, safety and maintenance and functionality but differ on their evaluation on its durability. From the conclusions stated, the following are hereby offered that utilization of the developed device and provision for mass production are suggested, a User's guide/operation manual can be made for easy use of the end-users and that the device can be remodeled in the future through a parallel study.
