Dissertation note: Thesis (Bachelor of Technology major in Mechanical and Production Technology) -- University of Rizal System-Morong. Summary: EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: The study aimed to develop an Improvised Pipe Vise with Multi-Purpose Table. Specifically, this attempted to determine the level of acceptability of the Improvised Movable Hydraulic Press in term of functionality, usefulness, safety and maintenance, and durability. This was conducted at the University of Rizal System, Morong Campus during the school year 2014-2015. The researchers adapted a modified questionnaire checklist as the main instrument and were validated to determine the level of acceptability of an Improvised Pipe Vise with Multi-Purpose Table. The respondents where purposely selected to give an objective evaluation of the output. They were composed of ten (10) students, the end-users and ten (10) faculty members who served as the experts. Based on the analysis of the study, the researchers were able to design a well detailed assembly drawing, pictorial drawing and exploded drawing and constructed an Improvised Movable Hydraulic Press machine out of locally available materials. Based from the result of the study, an Improvised Pipe Vise with Multi-Purpose Table found to be "very much accepted" in terms of functionality, usefulness, safety and maintenance, and durability as perceived by the experts and end-users. And based on the summary of findings, the study concluded that there is no significant difference on the level of acceptability of an Improvised movable hydraulic press in terms of functionality, usefulness, safety and maintenance and durability. Thus, the study recommended that, the machines should have V-block to align the pipe. The machine must have a bigger wheel to move it easily. And, financial assistance must be given to the researchers to fascinate the design and construction of the developed machine.
