Thesis (Bachelor of Technology major in Civil Technology) -- University of Rizal System-Morong.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This research study was intended to construct an Improvised Multi-size Concrete Hollow Blocks Molder. This attempted to design and construct a mechanized concrete hollow block molder, perform try- out and revision and evaluate the acceptability of the molder in terms of design, usefulness, functionality, safety and maintenance. It was conducted at the University of Rizal of System Morong, Campus during the S. Y. 2014- 2015. The evaluators of the project consisted of two groups. They were the experts and the end- users. The project was evaluated by five (5) experts and fifteen (15) end-users as a civil technology student in terms of design, usefulness, functionality and safety and maintenance. Try-out, revisions and re-designing were also done by the researchers during the construction period. They found out that there was a problem in the unstable plate lifter of concrete hollow block and too thin lever to lift the materials, and after the researchers found out the problem encountered during the construction period; revisions were done by the researchers to fix the problem. Based on the summary of findings, the researchers found out that the molder as a whole achieved its effectiveness as to design, usefulness, functionality, safety and maintenance. As evaluated by the experts and the end-users, in terms of design the developed project it was verbally interpreted as very satisfactory, in terms of usefulness the project it was verbally interpreted as Extremely useful, in terms of functionality the project was verbally interpreted as very satisfactory and in terms of safety and maintenance the project was verbally interpreted as very safe and easy based from the result. The researchers concluded that the Improvised Multi-size Concrete Hollow block molder was constructed and evaluated to determine the design, usefulness, functionality, safety and maintenance. Based from the result of findings and conclusions, the researchers recommended that financial support should be given to the next researchers for the next constructions; more study should be made to understand and to improve the study.
