Thesis (Bachelor of Technology major in Mechanical and Production Technology) -- University of Rizal System-Morong.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: The study aimed to improve a Sheet Metal Rolling Machine specifically, this study determined the level of acceptability of the Improvised Sheet Metal Rolling Machine in terms of Functionality, usefulness, safety and maintenance and Durability. This was conducted at the University of Rizal system, Morong, Rizal during the School year 2016-2017. The study utilized an adapted and modified questionnaire-checklist as the main instrument and was validated to determine the level of acceptability of Improvised Sheet Metal Rolling Machine. The respondents were purposely selected to give an objective evaluation of the output. They were composed of thirty (30) students, the end-users and ten (10) faculty members, as the experts. Based on the analysis of the study, the researchers were able to design a well detailed assembly drawing, pictorial drawing and exploded drawing and constructed Improvised Sheet Metal Rolling Machine out of locally available materials. Based from the results of the study, the Improvised Sheet Metal Rolling Machine was found to be "Very Much Accepted" in terms of functionality, usefulness, safety and maintenance, and durability as perceived by the experts and end-users. Based on the summary of findings, the study concluded that there is no significant difference on the level of acceptability of an Improvised Sheet Metal Rolling Machine in terms of functionality, usefulness, safety and maintenance and durability. Thus, the study recommended that the motor should be a 3 phase motor with reverse action. The motor must have a cover for safety and attach a cover to a roller shafts for protection of the machine.
