Summary: EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This study entitled "Development of Multi-purpose Chair" attempted to design and construct a multi-purpose chair, perform try-out and revision and determine the acceptability of the multi-purpose chair in terms of design durability, usefulness, functionality and safety. The researcher made questionnaire checklist was developed and validated to evaluate the level of acceptability of the multi-purpose chair in terms of design, durability, usefulness, functionality and safety. Respondents were the ten (10) experts in College of Industrial Technology and twenty (20) end-users from Bachelor of Technology major in Drafting Technology. In terms of design the multi-purpose chair attained the specific design and based from the layout and appropriate dimension the constructing of the project is capable to finish the output. Based on the try-out and revision the researchers found out that the multi-purpose chair have some sharp edges, in order to fix the defects they found the researchers used grinder to make the frame smoother. Some other defects found are the feet of the chair must have a rubber tip which serve as a stopper on the sloppy places. The armchair are not properly connected, in order to fix they make a lock. The chair is too low to seat they adjust the chair to fix the defects found. The acceptability of the multi-purpose chair got a verbal interpretation of very satisfactory for both end-users and experts. Likewise in terms of durability the multi-purpose chair got a verbal interpretation of very durable for both experts and end-users. In terms of usefulness the multi-purpose chair got a verbal interpretation of extremely useful for both end-users and experts. In terms of functionality the multi-purpose chair got a verbal interpretation of very functional for end-users and functional for experts. And in terms of safety the multi-purpose chair got a verbal interpretation of very safe for both experts and end-users. Based on the summary of findings the researchers found out that the developed multi-purposed chair was accepted in terms of its design, durability, usefulness, functionality and safety as evaluated. Overall, the project was verbally interpreted as very satisfactory, very durable, extremely useful, functional and very safe based from the result. The researchers found that is no significant difference between the evaluations make by the respondents in terms of design, durability, usefulness, functionality and safety of the multi-purpose chair. Based on the result of the study, the researchers arrived at the following recommendations. First, administrators and professors of University of Rizal System and other Universities and Colleges should encourage their students to develop and construct furniture that will help the college's income generation and to practice their skills for their work. Second, financial help should be extended to the students and instructors who have knowledge and skills not only in making design construction furniture but also in other subjects that will help the colleges and universities to be more productive.

Based on the result of the study, the researchers arrived at the following recommendations. First, administrators and professors of University of Rizal System and other Universities and Colleges should encourage their students to develop and construct furniture that will help the college's income generation and to practice their skills for their work. Second, financial help should be extended to the students and instructors who have knowledge and skills not only in making design construction furniture but also in other subjects that will help the colleges and universities to be more productive.
