Dissertation note: Thesis (Bachelor of Science in Psychology) -- University of Rizal System-Morong. Summary: EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: The study aimed to determine the employability and job satisfaction of persons with disabilities in selected municipalities of Rizal. The study was conducted at the municipalities of Angona, Taytay, Cainta and the city of Antipolo. Forty seven (47) respondents were chosen using the purposive sampling technique. The variables for the profile were Sex, Civil Status, Age, Educational Attainment and Disability. Descriptive survey research design was utilized using an adapted-modified questionnaire checklist as the main tool in gathering the needed data on the employability of the respondents in terms of status of employment, nature of appointment, and nature of job. Furthermore, the instrument was also used to determine the level of the satisfaction of the respondents on their employment with respect to physical working condition, benefits and job security. The researchers hypothesized that there is no significant relationship in the employability of persons with disabilities in terms of their profiled and there is no significant difference between the profile and the level of job satisfaction of persons with disabilities with respect to physical working condition, benefits and job security. Frequency, rank and percentage were used to find the profile and the employability of the persons with disabilities. Weighted mean was applied to determine the level of satisfaction with respect to different aspects of job. Chi-square was applied to determine the significant relationship between employability of the respondents and their profile. Finally, one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) was used to determine the significant differences on the level of satisfaction of the respondents and their profile. Based on the findings, most of the respondents are females, single, physically disabled, reached college level and belonging to the working age of 36 - 40. The respondents are satisfied with the aspects of their jobs in terms of physical working conditions, benefits and job security. Civil status, educational attainment and the person's disability is not a factor in getting a job. But in some cases, sex and age affects the nature of appointment and job of the employee. Nevertheless, the persons with disabilities are now able to get an equal opportunity for employment. The profile of the respondents doesn't affect the level of satisfaction for persons with disabilities in terms of physical working condition, benefits, job security. Although, male and female have different satisfactions in terms of benefits and job security and physical working condition is a major factor in terms of disability, the employers were still able t4o provide them proper working environment, benefits and job security. It was recommended that the employers should provide more benefits, privileges and recognition to persons with disabilities to help them become more motivated and satisfied to work. The government as well should give more attention to the welfare of persons with disabilities; their need privileges and employment rights.
