EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This study aimed to determine the significant of histrionic personality disorder (HPD) and dependent personality disorder (DPD) of Adults in dysfunctional family structure. The subject of the study is composed of fifty (50) respondents who were chosen through snowball along with referral techniques. The respondents were OFW parents, separated parents, single parents and alcoholic parents. The instrument used by the researchers were a standardized adapted questionnaire-checklists by Christopher J. Ferguson and Charles Negy, adapted questionnaire checklist by Nicole M. Huber entitled Dependent Personality Questionnaire. This study applied the level of Histrionic Personality Disorder (HPD) and Dependent Personality Disorder (DPD) of the respondents to determine the percentage of adults with Dysfunctional family; OFW, separated, single and alcoholic. The findings revealed that majority of the respondents were having an OFW parents. It can be concluded that in terms of having an OFW parents has noticeable without clinical level of Dependent Personality Disorder (DPD). Based on the summary of findings presented, it is concluded that Histrionic Personality Disorder (HPD) will not lead to having Dependent Personality Disorder (DPD).
