Summary: EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This study analyzed the anxiety and proximity experiences of children separated with their working mothers. The study was conducted at Antipolo, Binangonan, Cardona and Taytay, Rizal, during the school year 2016-2017. The study used qualitative method of research. It is a method that used inquiry process of understanding of social or human's complex and holistic picture by forming words, reporting detailed views of informants conducted in a natural setting period. The researchers found out that the mother who experienced early mother-child separation described it as a difficult situation which hinders their relationship with their children. They also feel guilty for leaving their children to other person. According to the participants though they always leave their children for them to work, their children still seek for their attention and quality time. One of these is when their children told them about the situations they have for the rest of the day. Moreover, the study found out those children who experienced early mother-child separation tends to have proximity seeking and anxiety. From the findings and conclusion of the study, researchers recommends intervention programs like play therapy for children, seminar workshops for caregivers and lecture forum for mothers to promote advocacy awareness about the adverse effects of early mother-child separation.
