Summary: EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: The study aims to determine the role of self-efficacy on the coping strategies of bullied high school students in San Guillermo National High School. The subject of the study is composed of 116 high school students' ages 13-18 years old from San Guillermo National High School. This study was conducted during school tear 2016-2017. The study used general self-efficacy scale utilizing the adapted-questionnaire checklist and self-report coping measure in gathering the needed data about the role of self-efficacy on the coping strategies of bullied high school students. The data gathered using the adapted questionnaire checklist were statistically treated using mean, ranking, and Pearson-product moment (Pearson r). The findings revealed that self-efficacy has a significant relationship on the coping strategies of bullies high school. In terms of the extent of general self-efficacy of bullied high school students most of them answered "Hardly True". It implies that bullied students hardly believe in themselves that they can usually handle whatever comes their way. In terms of the extent of coping strategies, support-seeking is the strategy that a bullied student mostly used in terms of approach strategy and that internalizing is the coping strategy that a bullied student mostly in terms of avoidance strategy. The correlation analysis of self-efficacy on the coping strategies of bullies high school students is statistically significant on problem solving, support-seeking and internalizing but there is no significant relationship between the self-efficacy on externalizing and it only shows that the externalizing strategy has no relationship between self-efficacy and the coping strategy of bullied high school student. Based on the result of the study, bullied students tend not to externalize because they were once bullies and they will not anymore do an overt negative behavior to others. From the findings, the following were recommended: Community leaders may sponsor or initiate activities and or program for parents/guardians related to the provisions stated in Republic Act. No. 10627 or the anti-bullying act. The schools may provide activities, programs and pamphlets to bullied students for them to be aware in using coping strategies efficiently to possibly reduced victimization and psychological maladjustment. The teachers may provide safety and assess if bullied students need additional protection and provide counseling and other necessary services for the victims, perpetrators and family members.
