Dissertation note: Thesis (Bachelor of Science in Psychology) -- University of Rizal System-Morong. Summary: EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: The study aimed to determine the relationship of Job Satisfaction and Organizational Commitment of Rank and File Employees in Morong, Rizal. This study used random sampling technique. There were one hundred five (105) respondents in the study, which comprised of the employees of different organizations in Morong, Rizal such as Morong National High School, Morong Water District (MOWAD) and Municipal Hall of Morong. This study used the descriptive quantitative type of research utilizing the researchers-adopted questionnaire checklist as the main instrument in gathering data. The instrument was adopted and modified from two questionnaires namely Job Satisfaction Survey and Organizational Questionnaire and copies where distributed to the respondents. The data gathered were tabulated and interpreted. Weighted mean was used as statistical treatments and determined the relationship of Job Satisfaction and Organizational Commitment of Rank and File employees. Pearson-r was used to determine the significant relationship of Job Satisfaction and organizational commitment. All the respondents are highly satisfied in their nature of work while the participants were highly committed in terms of affective commitment. On the basis of foregoing findings, Job satisfaction and organizational commitment of rank and file employees in Morong, Rizal some of the respondents are satisfied to their work. The significant influence of Job Satisfaction to Organizational Commitment in terms of Affective aspect is pay, promotion, co-workers, and nature of work. In terms of Normative aspect all employees are satisfied in all factors indicated in this study while in Continuance aspect, the pay, promotion, co-workers, nature of work and communication are the variables that gives satisfaction to employees. The study tested and rejects the null hypothesis that there is a significant influence on the extent of Job Satisfaction and organizational Commitment of Rank and File employees in terms of Affective, Normative and continuance aspects. Based on the findings, the researchers recommended that the organization may continuously provide a better utilization in the workplace. This will ensure a good performance of the workers. Continuous providing an appropriate pay/salary in every accomplishment they made. Lastly, consistent recognition and promotion in every good performance of employee will boost their satisfaction and commitment. Supervisors and co-workers may continuously provide a clear perspective on the organizational goals, continuous providing a harmonious relationship. Maintain the good communication to avoid gaps and errors between rank and file employees and the organizational management may provide a program, training and recreational activities to enhance/develop their skills and to know their capabilities and strengths that promotes job satisfaction and commitment to the organization.
