Summary: EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This study aimed to design an A MICRO HYDRO POWER GENERATION IN BRGY. LAUREL STA. MARIA, LAGUNA USING 3KW SINGLE PHASE AC SYNCHRONOUS GENERATOR. This research project was made for the benefit of the people of Brgy. Laurel Sta. Maria, Laguna as well as to encourage and give an ideas in power generation for their local community in maximizing the available resources in providing their own power supply without compromising the environment. The researchers' observed that some areas here in the Philippines experienced lack of power supply within their entire life. One of the reasons are being located in remote areas which makes then not to prioritize due to high cost in delivering the power. One sample of which is Brgy. Laurel, in Sta. Maria, Laguna. It is located in the north-east of Province of Laguna. Laguna Province is known to have numerous number of falls and running waters. However, these falls and running waters are just used of tourism even though it has a potential to produce an energy from the water pressure. The three Falls located in Brgy. Laurel has this potential. The water comes from the top of mountain then flows down through the rice fields that serves as an irrigation. The research was evaluated by means testing the designed power generation system through monitoring the output voltage according to variation of speed measured and report was based on the criteria in terms of usefulness, functionality, safety, efficiency and maintenance. The researchers conducted this study to provide an alternative source of energy through maximizing the renewable energy resources in a certain area and provide electrification on far and remote areas. Regarding the Usefulness, Functionality, Safety, Efficiency and Maintenance of A Micro Hydro Power Generation in Brgy. Laurel, Sta. Maria Laguna, it is verbally interpreted as Excellent by the experts and respondents. Based on summary and findings, A Micro Hydro Generation in Brgy. Laurel, Sta. Maria, Laguna are constructed from the materials available in the local market and used the available renewable source of energy. The project attained its function based on the project design.
