Dissertation note: Thesis (Bachelor of Technology major in Electrical Technology) -- University of Rizal System-Morong. Summary: EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This study aimed to develop and utilize an Automatic Solar Powered Incubator. The study attempted to design and construct an Automatic Solar Powered Incubator, and evaluated the project acceptability in terms of usefulness, design, durability, safety and maintenance and determine the significant difference of the evaluation made by the experts and end-users in terms of the mentioned variables. A researcher-made questionnaire-checklist was developed and validated to evaluate the acceptability of the unit in terms of usefulness, design, durability, safety and maintenance. Responses were gathered from ten (10) professors in the College of Industrial Technology as experts, and user's twenty (20) poultry owners as end-users of study. The data gathered in the study were statistically treated using qualitative description, weighted mean, and T-test. For the safety and maintenance of the device, the experts' evaluation got an average weighted mean of 4.7 which was verbally interpreted as Extremely Accepted, while the end-users evaluation got an average weighted mean of 4.7 which was verbally interpreted as Extremely Accepted. In terms of usefulness, the experts evaluation got an average weighted mean of 4.6 which was verbally interpreted as Extremely Accepted, while the end-users evaluation got an average weighted of 4.7 which was verbally interpreted as Extremely Accepted. In terms of design, the experts evaluation got an average weighted mean of 4.5 which was verbally interpreted as Extremely Accepted, while the end-users evaluation got an average weighted of 4.7 which was verbally interpreted as Extremely Accepted. In terms of durability, the experts evaluation got an average weighted mean of 4.7 which was verbally interpreted as Extremely Accepted, while the end-users evaluation got an average weighted of 4.9 which was verbally interpreted as Extremely Accepted. On the significant difference, computed t-value in all aspects is less than the tabulated value which means the null hypothesis is accepted and is no significant. This means that all the aspects presented in the evaluation of the Developed Automatic Solar Powered Incubator perceived by the two groups of respondents as acceptable in general, therefore the null hypothesis that there is no significant difference is accepted. It was concluded that there was no significant difference on the level of acceptability of the Developed Automatic Solar Powered Incubator by the experts and end-users in terms of design, safety and maintenance, Usefulness and Durability. Based on the result of the study, it was recommended that the incubator case should be improved where the viewing thermometer should be displayed on windows; a list of chart should be provided of different eggs and their corresponding temperature settings; provide more trays for stacking of more eggs to be catered for hatching; try to authorize the egg turner using timer and servo motor.
