Thesis (Bachelor of Technology major in Automotive Technology) -- University of Rizal System-Morong.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This study aimed to developed an improvised Tie-Rod End Remover and evaluated the level of Acceptability based on the perception of the experts and end-users in terms of usefulness, functionality, safety and maintenance and durability. The adapted questionnaire-checklist was the major instrument used in gathering the needed data. The study was conducted at the University of Rizal System, Morong Campus, College of Industrial Technology, Automotive shop, during the second semester of school year 2015-2016 and first semester of school year 2016-2017. The researchers developed the Improvised Tie-rod end remover utilizing descriptive and developmental method of research. It was anchored on the Coomb's System Approach and principles of pressure. The respondents of the study were six (6) College of Industrial Technology professors and four (4) auto-technicians in Automotive Technology. They composed of ten (10) third year and ten (10) fourth year students taking up Bachelor of Technology Major in Automotive at the same University. Purposive sampling was used by the researchers in selecting the respondents, since, they were engaged and exposed in Automotive Technology and Mechanical Technology. Based from the result of the study the researchers concluded that there was no significant difference on the Improvised Tie-Rod End Remover with respect to perception of the respondents in terms of acceptability, durability, safety and maintenance, usefulness and functionality.
