Dissertation note: Thesis (Bachelor of Secondary Education major in English) -- University of Rizal System-Morong. Summary: EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: The study aimed to determine the Employability of Bachelor of Secondary Education major in English graduates of University of Rizal System-Morong campus from Academic Year 2011-2012 to 2015-2016. It was conducted at the University of Rizal System, Morong, Rizal during the Academic Year 2016-2017. The study considered 50% of the total number of the graduates from 2012-2016. The study made use of the descriptive-evaluative method of research utilizing an adopted and modified questionnaire-checklist. The study found out that on the profile of the respondents, majority were female, with the age bracket of 22-24, single, graduates from batch 2011-2012, LET passers, have course-related jobs, earning P18,001.00 and above a month, have 0-2 years of teaching/working experience and four-year degree holder. On the employment status of the respondents, most of the respondents were employed, with regular of permanent appointment as classroom teachers, employed in private agencies, who were immediately hired with less than 3 months after graduation, and have obtained their jobs through their friends. On the respondents' evaluation on the institution, curriculum was rated as always as it obtained their jobs through their friends. On the respondents' evaluation on the institution, curriculum was rated as always as it obtained an overall mean of 4:39. The faculty was given a rating of 4.33 which was verbally interpreted as very much competent. The material resources were evaluated and given a rating of 3.85 which was interpreted as much adequate. There was a significant relationship between the profile of the respondents and the extent of school related factors in terms of civil status, years in teaching/working, and eligibility. There was a significant relationship between job waiting time and material resources; nature of employment and material resources; and nature of work in terms of curriculum and material resources. The was a significant relationship between nature of appointment and age of the respondents; civil status and nature of employment, nature of appointment, and job waiting time; year graduated and nature of appointment and type of employing agency; nature of work and respondents' eligibility; respondents' occupation, and nature of employment, nature of work, and type of employing agency, monthly income and nature of appointment and type of employing agency. The study concluded that civil status, years in teaching and eligibility is significantly related to material resources, nature of appointment depends on the respondents' age, civil status and year graduated, and nature of employment is associated with the material resources. The study recommended the regular monitoring of the graduates, school administrators may seek ways on how to give graduates a job in line with their specialization, and parallel studies may be conducted using other variables.
