Dissertation note: Thesis (Bachelor of Science of Psychology) -- University of Rizal System-Morong. Summary: EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: The study is entitled "Self-Worth of Breadwinners: An Analysis". Its main objective was to know the effects of being the breadwinner of the family and how unconditional positive regard and conditional positive regard contributes to the establishment of self-worth of the breadwinners. To know also the specific roles the breadwinners play in the family. The study was conducted in Barangay Pag-Asa Binangonan, Rizal. The researchers involved five breadwinner respondents for the said study. Breadwinners establish their self-worth through trusting themselves and their families, satisfaction they earn their family with what they provide and also with disregarding the opinions of others. Unconditional positive regard has its effect to them to act as the breadwinner through the support that their family gives to them. However, conditional positive regard has its effect to the breadwinner through the change of treatment of their family if they would lose their job. As general recommendation, Department of Labor and Employment should intensify their programs and assistance to those people who wanted to have jobs especially those breadwinners. More so, Department of Trade and Industry must reach out the community in promoting income generating projects for those families who needed extra income to support the needs of the family. In addition, future researchers may utilize other variables on the study of the breadwinner
