Dissertation note: Thesis (Bachelor of Science in Psychology) -- University of Rizal System-Morong. Summary: EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: The main objective of the study was to determine the effects of violent song lyrics on aggressive thoughts and feelings of an individual. The study was conducted in University of Rizal System Morong, Rizal. The respondents were the 50 selected students from third year to fourth Year College of Science students. The study utilized the quasi-experimental research design. The findings showed that song with violent lyrics affects the level of aggression of the participants wherein the intervention used in the experiment served as stimulus that influenced the participant's thoughts and feelings. On the basis of the foregoing findings and conclusion, the study recommend that information dissemination like seminar, conference or intellectual discourse about the effect of violent song lyrics may be initiated by the University of Rizal System . Research on uplifting music videos may be done as a tool in coping up with depression.
