The Daraitan river sub watershed at the Tinipak Marble Valleu is one of the sub watershed of Kaliwa watershed. It is an important ecosystem because it protects the pristine condition of the Tinipak Marble Valley and it is one of the tourist attraction in Tanay, Rizal. A study was conducted to map and characterize the sub watershed of the Daraitan River at the Tinipal Marble Valley. Field survey and water quality measurements were that was used in the study. The sub watershed has different land cover types this includes Molave Forest, Agricultural production areas, shrub land, grassland and river. The largest land cover type is Movale Forest with an area of 310.1 ha. and the smallest land cover type shrub land with an area of 5.88 ha.
