The primary objective of this study was to determine the basic life skills of grade 7 students and their relationship to performance in mathematics. This was conducted at the University of Rizal System Tanay Laboratory High School, School Year 2014-2015. The descriptive method was used in the study to describe the data and characteristics of the population using the questionnaire checklist as primary instrument. The data gathered were treated and interpreted utilizing statistical tools such as frequency and percentage distribution of the profile of the respondents well as mean and percentage for the basic life skills and their relationship to performance in mathematics.
