Dissertation note: Thesis (Bachelor of Science in Psychology) -- University of Rizal System-Morong. Summary: EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This study determined the resilience and behavior of adolescents with incarcerated parents. This was conducted in Binangonan, Morong and Teresa during school year 2017-2018. The study focused on five (5) respondents who have incarcerated parents and resides in Binangonan, Morong and Teresa. This study used qualitative descriptive method of research and the findings. All of them have resilience and one of them experienced negative behavior. The study used the neurotic trends theory of Karen Horney such as moving towards, moving away and moving against. Most of the respondents used moving towards to seek affirmation and acceptance from others, they refused all the negative thoughts, negative comments from other people around them and also they tend to use some physical activities like playing basketball, mingle-ling to their friends, selling crackers, drinking alcohol, playing computer games, bonding with their relatives and devote their time and effort for attending some religious activity. Based on the findings, the study concluded that not all adolescents whose parents were incarcerated have a tendency to exhibit resiliency and manifest a certain behavior in order to manage their life situations. In lieu of the findings, it is recommended that the Samahan ng Mag-aaral as Sikolohiya (SMS) must conduct seminars about psychological resilience and aggressive behavior of adolescents with incarcerated parents to manage it well. The office of the student and development service must conduct a seminar that helps the behavior of the adolescents with incarcerated parents to manage it well. The municipality of Binangonan, Morong and Teresa must conduct seminar/forum about Spiritual Upliftment and Emotional Management for adolescent with incarcerated parents as well as their parents. The students must explore deeper study related to resilience and their behavior of adolescents with incarcerated parents and utilized other variables.
