The study focused on utilizing the potential and the uses of natural resources in the environment. The study examined the effects of Paragis extract on E.coli using experimental research method design. The extraction of Paragis (qualitative and quantitative) was conducted at AUTRDC (Adamson University Technology Research and Development Center) and laboratory testing was conducted at DOST-STD, ITDI Department. The conduct process lasted for two (2) months for laboratory testing. Alkaloids is a secondary metabolites present in paragis plant that has antibacterial effect on E.coli. The study used four treatments and three replication. Positive Control with Amikacin 30 ug has the highest effect against Escherichia coli, followed by Treatment III with 75%, Treatment II with 50%, Treatment I with 25% with Normal Saline Solution. Average was used to determine the effects of Extracted Paragis with different concentration. Anova was used to compare in the effects of Extracted Paragis with different concentration. It was therefore concluded that the Extracted Paragis has an effect to Reactivity Rating and Inhibitory Rating of E.coli.
