Dissertation note: Thesis (Bachelor of Science in Psychology) -- University of Rizal System-Morong. Summary: EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: The study was conducted to discover the range of awareness and practices of women towards family planning. The study used random sampling technique having seventy seven (77) women in barangay San Guillermo Morong, Rizal. Descriptive quantitative research design was used, specifically, the technique using the researchers-made questionnaire as the instrument to measure the awareness and practices. The data gathered were tabulated and interpreted. Weighted mean was used as statistical treatment to determine the extent of awareness and practices of woman. Pearson R was used to determine the significant relationship of awareness and practices. The result revealed that family planning awareness have significant relationship to practices that women employ. In terms of awareness and practices, women were having knowledge of what family planning are and how these knowledge will contribute much to their welfare. This results to a better practice of women to family planning to various aspect such as family planning to various aspect such as family planning methods and family planning counseling. The researchers offer the following recommendations: Barangay health center may disseminate informative and updated flyers that gives sufficient information about family planning for the couples to decide what is the suitable methods they can be used, Men and women may attend family planning counselling and seminars to modernize and enrich their knowledge and awareness on family planning, Full and strong implementation of sex education by the government should be encouraged by local municipalities.
