The researchers recommend that local government must continue and strengthen their advocacy programs or projects that will help communities attain better cognizance on solid waste management. Different learning institutions must have advocacy program regarding the awareness of students on solid waste management in leadership of the office of student's development services. The LGU should collaborate with junk shop owners and negotiate with recycling companies that would directly buy the plastic bags and wrappers which are currently being disposed legally and illegally. Another strategy to cut down the garbage problems in the barangays is to convert the garbage into income generating handicrafts such as lanterns, placemats, boxes, curtains, and other items. Solid waste managers must stay informed about reuse opportunities, composting technologies, recyclable commodities markets, and understand how to reduce solid waste management costs. Lastly, studies must be conducted concerning other variable on solid waste management practices.
