PARENTING FIGURE AND WELL-BEING OF ADOPTED CHILDREN EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: The study was entitled "Parenting Figure and Well Being of Adopted Children." It was conducted in selected municipalities in Rizal during school year 2017-2018. The main objective of this research was to determine how a child's psychological well-being was established through their experiences, perceive treatment of their parenting figure and their goals and dreams. The researchers focused on five respondents, they are composed of 3 males and 2 females. In getting the subject, the snowball sampling technique was used to rely on the referrals of participants form initial subject to generate additional subject from the selected municipalities of Rizal namely Binangonan and Cardona. The study made use of a qualitative research method, utilizing the researcher-made interview questions that the content was validated by the experts as guide during the gathering of data. The interviews were conducted to gather enough information data needed in the study. As a result of the study, the researchers found out that parenting figure influence the psychological well-being of adopted children through their experiences. They experience happiness, contentment and satisfaction in their lives and they are all treated by their parent figure like their own child having the support to have a meaningful life. The respondents viewed that they accepted the situation where in they are being told that they are adopted by their parent figure. They create a positive relationship with other people. In that they can easily adapt, provide a solution and make a decision. Having a healthy relationship with their parent figure and to their other acquaintances the respondents develop their self-esteem, establishing their goals and knowing their purpose in life. These individuals have goals to pursue their dreams, repaying their parent figures goodness for loving and providing them have a better life. Researchers, therefore concluded, that adopted children would established a positive meaning of life through the unconditional love of their parenting figure. As a recommendation for future researchers, the Department of Social Welfare and Development should provide seminars and training on both adopted children and parents, on how they will handle the case of adoption. And to encourage those childless parents who are willing and capable to adopt a child. In addition, the researchers therefore concluded that parenting figure plays the great role in establishing the psychological well-being adopted child that they see a positive meaning life. To finish their studies and be successful in life. All the respondents made their life better when they are being adopted by their parent figure.
