Online resources: Dissertation note: Thesis (Bachelor of Technology major in Civil Technology) -- University of Rizal System- Morong. Summary: EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This study aimed to develop an Alternative Roof Heat Insulation Utilization Of Plastic Foil. Specifically, this study sought to fabricate alternative roof heat insulation, perform try-out and revision. Likewise, it determine the level of acceptability of the plastic foil as an alternative roof heat insulation and compared to existing roof heat insulation as perceived by the respondents in terms of usefulness, acceptability and comfortability and environmental aspect. It also determines the significance between the evaluations made by the respondents on the acceptability of the project in terms of usefulness, applicability and comfortability and environmental aspect. The study also determined the effectiveness of the alternative roof heat insulation on the parameters such as thermal heat control and fire resistive duration. It also determine the significant difference on the effectiveness of the alternative roof heat insulation and existing roof heat insulation in terms of thermal heat control and fire resistive duration. In conducting this study, the researchers utilized the experimental type of research method since this study focused on fabricating of Utilizing Plastic Foil as an Alternative Roof Heat Insulation. During try-outs, some revisions were applied on the defects found and problem encountered during the testing period. In terms of usefulness, existing roof insulation is verbally interpreted as very satisfactory, while the alternative roof insulation is verbally interpreted as outstanding. In terms of comfortability and applicability, existing roof insulation is verbally interpreted as Very Satisfactory. In terms of economic aspect, existing roof insulation is verbally interpreted as very satisfactory, while the alternative roof insulation is verbally interpreted as outstanding. The null hypothesis was rejected as perceived by the respondents in terms of usefulness, applicability and environmental aspect. It was concluded that there is significant difference on the Utilization of Plastic Foil as an Alternative Roof Heat Insulation and Existing Roof Heat Insulation in terms of usefulness, applicability and comfortability and environmental aspect. In terms of thermal heat control, existing roof insulation is verbally interpreted as very much susceptible to heat, while the alternative roof insulation is verbally interpreted as extremely susceptible to fire, while the alternative roof insulation is verbally interpreted as extremely susceptible to heat. In terms of fire resistive duration, existing roof insulation is verbally interpreted as extremely susceptible to fire, while the alternative roof insulation is verbally interpreted as very susceptible to heat. The null hypothesis was accepted as perceived by the respondents in terms of thermal heat control and fire resistive duration. It was concluded that there is no significant difference on the utilization of plastic foil as an alternative roof heat insulation and existing roof heat insulation in terms of thermal heat control and fire resistive duration. Based on the results of the study, the researchers recommended that the Plastic foil should be used as alternative to foil and use wood dust as alternative for foam, wood glue should be used instead of contact cement, paper cups should be used as alternative for foam, the alternative roof insulation should be built lighter than the existing and the alternative roof insulation can be roll like the alternative roof insulation. The respondents of the study comprised of the three (3) instructors, five (5) construction worker and twelve (12) students of the College of Industrial Technology major in Civil Technology who acted as the respondents of the study.
