Summary: EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: The study is entitled "kauri ko kaagapay ko sa pagbuo ng pamilya: Homosexual parents and their perspectives on family, Challenges and aspirations". It was conducted in selected municipalities in rizal during the school year 2016-2017. The main objective of this study is to help the public to become open minded about the life of families with homosexual parent. The researchers believed that through understanding and recognizing the perceptions or thoughts relative to the family, challenges and aspirations of the homosexual parents can help minimize discrimination among them. The reaserchers focused on six respondents who are all homosexuals. They were composed of three lesbians and three gays from selected municipalities in rizal namely cardona, binangonan, angono, baras and antipolo city. The study made use of the qualitive reaserch method, utilizing, the reaserchers -made interview questions as guide during the gathering of data. The interviews were conducted to gather enough information or sufficient data needed in the study. As a result of the study, the researchers found that homosexual parents differ in their experiences upon raising their family. All are capable to raise a child and are responsible for providing the needs of their family. It reveals that homosexuals tend to be more committed and family-oriented when they started to be a parent. Their experiences in life are subjective and different from one another. Though most of the respondents experienced criticisms and discriminations, they experience less criticism in society when they had their children and own family. They also pointed out that anyone can be parent regardless of what gender preference a person has. Researchers therefore concluded that homosexual parents had aspirations such as to work abroad and have business of their own. Homosexual parents shared similar goals for their children to finish their studies and be successful in life. All the respondents made their life better when they became parent because for them having a child is really a life changing event. As a general recommendation for future researchers, they may conduct a parallel using other variables that will enhance the findings of the lives of homosexual and show support by doing different activities that will enhance the lives of homosexuals such as livelihood programs, seminars and rendering details rights and providing equality in this modern time.
