Online resources: Dissertation note: Thesis (Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering) -- University of Rizal System-Morong. Summary: EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This study entitled Developed Electronic Controlled Animal Stunner provides help for the butchers and any local people to kill a certain domestic animal without being violent or violating any law, especially the Sharia or Islamic law of Muslims. The purpose of the study is to develop an electronic controlled animal stunner. The study aims to inflict a forceful strike on the forehead of the animal with the stunner in order to induce unconsciousness. It aims to paralyze an animal in a short period of time, so that when its their turn for their slaughtering, the animal has no power to counter act the slaughterer. The study also aims to determine the effectiveness of the device in terms of voltage output, current output and response time, as well as to determine the level of acceptability in terms of design, functionality, usefulness, and safety and maintenance. To achieve the objectives of the study, the researchers utilized the developmental, experimental and descriptive-evaluative research design. They made use of a modified questionnaire-checklist to evaluate the level of acceptability of the device in terms of design, functionality, usefulness, and safety and maintenance. After being evaluated by the respondents the electronic controlled animal stunner was verbally interpreted as "very much accepted" in terms of its design, functionality, usefulness and safety and maintenance as evaluated by the abattoirs and experts with an overall mean of 3.923. As evaluated by abattoirs, it can be seen that the functionality got the highest overall mean which is 4, while the design got the lowest overall mean which is 3.88. After being evaluated by the respondents, the electronic controlled animal stunner was found to be generally accepted in terms of design, functionality, usefulness and safety and maintenance. Based on the findings of the study, the researchers concluded that the device was able to released enough amount of current for an animal to be paralyzed is very much accepted in terms of design, functionality, usefulness and safety and maintenance. Some recommendations for the future researchers would prefer abattoirs, experts, and owner of a poultry animal to used the device, a range selector will also help the user of the device to set the current of the stunner according to what they need. The researchers also recommended using a voltage amplifier if the user needed a higher voltage output. Adding some features such as panel meter may be taken into consideration and improvement of the overall design and assembly of the circuits and components.
