Online resources: Dissertation note: Thesis (Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering) -- University of Rizal System-Morong. Summary: EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This study entitled Multi-Featured Sensor Based Dog Cade provides aid to pet lovers who need assistance in taking care of their pets as well as to the pet animal to give them the right care that they deserve. The purpose of the study is to develop a multi-featured sensor based dog cage. It aims to equip a cage with a technology that gives care and assistance to the pet owners and to the pet as well. The study also aims to determine the level of acceptability of the device in terms of design, functionality, usefulness and safety and maintenance. As well as to determine the performance of the device in terms of accuracy and sensitivity. To achieve the objective of the study, the researchers utilized the developmental and descriptive-evaluative research design. They made use of a modified questionnaire checklist to evaluate the level of acceptability of the device in terms of design, functionality, usefulness and safety and maintenance. After being evaluated by the respondents the multi-featured sensor based dog cage was "very much accepted" in terms of design, usefulness, functionality and safety and maintenance as evaluated by the pet owners and experts with an overall mean of 4.32 and 4.45 respectively. As evaluated by pet owners, it can be seen that the functionality got the highest overall mean which is 4.50, while the design got the lowest overall mean which is 4.22. as evaluated by the experts, the functionality got the overall mean which is 4.48, while the safety and maintenance got the lowest overall mean which is 4.20. After being evaluated by the respondents the multi-featured sensor based dog cage was found to be generally accepted in terms of design, functionality, usefulness and safety and maintenance. Based on findings of the study, the researchers concluded that the device is able to feed the pet and clean the tray on the desired time needed by the end user, the device refills the water bowl when needed and stop the process when the bowl is already full and the multi-featured sensor based dog cage is very much accepted in terms of design, usefulness, functionality and safety and maintenance by the experts and pet owners. Some recommendations for the future researchers are instead of using a timer for cleaning, finding, a sensor that can detect dirt and urine of the pet is much advisable, also increasing the size of the whole project may be considered to fully maximize its use, for a more effective cleaning process, adding some features other than running a stream of water into the tray may be taken into consideration and improvement of the overall design and assembly of the circuits and componnets is recommended.
