Online resources: Dissertation note: Thesis Bachelor of Technology major in Electrical Technology University of Rizal System-Morong. 2018 Summary: EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: The study aimed to design and develop an Improvised Power Supply for Electronic Appliances. Specifically, it attempted to answer the following objectives. First, design and construct an Improvised Power Supply for Electronic Appliances. Second, perform try-out and revision, next, determine the level of acceptability of Improvised Power Supply for Electronic Appliances in terms of safety and maintenance, usefulness, functionality and design. Fourth is determine the significant difference on the perception of the two groups of respondents on the improvised power supply for electronic appliances and commercial generator in terms of the above mentioned variables. And the last is determine the level of performance of the developed improvised power supply for electronic appliances in terms of voltage consumed per hour and charging time. Secondly, in terms of design and development of the device, the improvised power supply for electronic appliances is constructed out of locally available materials which are consist of five major circuits namely battery, solar panel, solar charge controller, circuit breaker and inverter. Researchers also constructed other parts in the developed device namely AC voltmeter, AC ammeter, DC voltmeter, DC ammeter, 220v outlet, jack (positive and negative), and toggle switch for inverter. Next, in terms of try-out and revisions made, the developed improvised power supply for electronic appliances undergone several trials, defects were found and was given due revisions, until the device achieved its expected output. Furthermore, in terms of acceptability for the improvised power supply for electronic appliances, as perceived by the experts got an overall mean of 4.7, while the end users got an overall mean of 4.5 and both verbally interpreted as "extremely acceptable". Meanwhile, in terms of usefulness, as evaluated by the experts got an overall mean of 4.9, while the end users got an overall of 4.5 and both verbally interpreted as "extremely acceptable". On the other hand, in terms of functionality, as evaluated by the experts got an overall mean of 4.7. while the end-users got an overall mean of 4.5 and both verbally interpreted as "extremely acceptable". Lastly, in terms of design, as evaluated by the experts got an overall mean of 4.8, while the end-users got an overall mean of 4.5 and both verbally interpreted as "extremely acceptable". Moreover, in terms of significant difference on the perception of the two groups of respondents, the null hypothesis that there is no significant difference on the perception of the experts and end users on the acceptability of the improvised power supply for electronic appliances in terms of safety and maintenance, functionality and design is accepted, therefore there is no significant difference. Meanwhile, in term of usefulness is rejected, therefore there is significant difference. And lastly, on the level of performance of the improvised power supply for electronic appliances with respect to voltage consumed per hour, the improvised power supply for electronic appliances got an overall mean of 4.7 and is found to be extremely effective. With respect to changing time, the improvised power supply for electronic appliances got an overall mean of 4.0 and is found to be very effective.
