EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: The study aimed to develop a multi-function communication based security system to secure homes and offices control household appliances/ machines wirelessly. It also aimed to perform try out and revisions and determine the level of performance in terms of accuracy, distance, speed/time, sensor response and developed user's manual. On the design and construction of the project, it was found out that the developed device was constructed out of locally available materials. On the try-out and revision, problem was encountered and troubleshoot by the researchers and some actions were done. On the level of performance of the system, in terms of access combination, it got a mean seven change of password in a week and was verbally interpreted as extremely secure. In terms of accuracy of touch screen in switching the output the door lock, pump motor and steel gate was verbally interpreted as extremely effective, while in terms of speed pump motor, steel gate and door lock was verbally interpreted extremely fast. On the sensor response time in distance was verbally interpreted as extremely effective. User's manual was made for the step by step tutorial on how to operate the developed device. The developed devices can be alternative solution in increasing the security level of a particular place and it can be an effective and accurate device in monitoring and controlling household and electrical appliances/ machines.
