Dissertation note: Thesis (Bachelor of Science in Mathematics major in Computer Science) -- University of Rizal System-Morong. Summary: EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: The researchers focused on the development and evaluation of Geographical Information System of University of Rizal System. The study aims to help the users locate the University of Rizal System campuses from the outside map to the appearance of each campus building through a mobile application. In that way, it is easier to locate the different places and buildings you want to find inside the campuses of University of Rizal System especially useful to the new upcoming students. This study was conducted at selected University of Rizal System campuses during the first semester of 2017-2018. There are two (2) Admin staffs, five (5) Instructors and ten (10) students from each University of Rizal System campus with a total of 119 respondents. The program was designed and created using a software Android studio, JAVA as a main programming language and adobe photoshop in the images used. Descriptive and developmental research was used by the researchers in the conduct of the study to determine and analyze the difference between the level of acceptability of the three groups of respondents and the developed Geographical Information System of University of Rizal System. To determine the level of acceptability of the developed program in terms of accuracy, applicability, user-friendliness, workability, completeness, portability, modifiability and clarity, weighted mean was used. To find the significant difference on the perception of the respondents in the level of acceptability, one-way ANOVA was applied. The result of the study shows that it gained a weighted mean of 4.66 for admin, 4.72 for instructors and 4.66 for students on the perception of the respondents. On the level of acceptability of the program has a verbal interpretation of "Very Much Accepted". Based on the findings and conclusions, it is highly recommended that the University of Rizal System may adopt and support the developed system to be implemented as a source of information selected University of Rizal System campuses. It was concluded that the developed Geographical Information System of University of Rizal System is useful for the upcoming students of University of Rizal System and it will help the user meet the information they need about the University of Rizal System campuses. The developed program is much accurate, applicable, user friendly, workable, complete, portable, modifiable and clear. The developed program passed all the quality tests to satisfy the needs of the users, follow-up studies may be conducted for further enhancement of the Geographical Information System of University of Rizal System.
