Dissertation note: Thesis (Bachelor of Secondary Education major in English) -- University of Rizal System-Morong. Summary: EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: This study aimed to analyze the selected poems of Ophelia Dimanlata using Linguo Stylistic Analysis in terms of stylistic devices, structure, syntax, and lexical features. The result of the analyses showed that the most used stylistic device by the author is alliteration which was expressed in twelve out of fifteen poems. In terms of structure, free verse is the best for the kind of poems that the author likes to write. The selected poems are structure in a manner wherein the flow of the lines are narrative. The poems turned out as natural as an ordinary conversation because the writer did not intend to include rhymes in each line. The style used by Ophelia Dimalanta in fifteen poems includes the use of enjambment for the purpose of allowing an idea to continue beyond the limitation of a single line and to surprise the readers by setting up one idea in the first line and then changing that idea in some way in the second line.it is the author's way of maintaining a rhythm that is stronger than perpetual end-stopping. In breaking the lines, the endpoints use are mostly of nouns, adjectives, and verbs. Thus, the researchers recommend to conduct further researches on other stylistic device, structure, syntax and lexical features used by an Dimalanta as well as to make a Cultural and Essentialist Feminist Criticism on Ophelia Dimalanta's poems.
