Online resources: Dissertation note: Thesis Bachelor of Science Major in Psychology University of Rizal System Pililla Summary: This study primarily aimed to determine the level of self-perception and multiple intelligences of youth in the Salvation Army Joyville Children's Home This would serve as basis for enhancing self-perception and multiple Intelligences of youth in the Salvation Army Joyville Children's Home. The researchers used mixed qualitative-quantitative research method in studying the level of self-perception and multiple intelligences of youth in the Salvation Army Joyville Children's Home Two adopted and modified questionnaires were used as the main tool in determining the level of the variables and complemented with focus-group discussion using structured Interview and supplemented with other indigenous method such as ocular survey, visitation, and chatting which based all on the availability of the respondents. The variety of indigenous methods was used in order to reveal the self-perception and multiple intelligences of youth in the Salvation Army Joyville Children's Home. The subject of the study were the (13) thirteen youth who are residing in the Salvation Army Joyville Children's Home. They were chosen according to the following criteria ages from 11 to 17, male or female, length of residency, willing to take part in the study, trust the researchers and honest in their answers. Majority of the youth were aged 12 years old, female and have length of residency of 4 years. With regard to self-perception, in terms of variables: With respect to scholastic competence, in terms of age, 13 and 14 years old are scholastically competent, in terms of sex, that females are scholastically competent than males, in terms of length of residency; the majority of youth who stayed longer below six years have an average level. With respect to social competence, in terms of age that majority of the respondents, in terms of age, are socially competent in terms of sex, that males are well-known people to socialize rather than females; in terms of length of residency, those respondents with the above two years of residency have a high social competency. With respect to global self-worth; in terms of age, the majority of the respondents have an average level of self-perception. In terms of sex, males are happy with who they are and accepted and value the kind of person they are rather than females. In terms of length of residency; the majority of the length of residency have an average level of self-perception. For multiple intelligences, in terms of variables; in terms of age, most of the respondents or youth, in terms of age are most common in having more knowledge on their musical intelligence and existential intelligence, in terms of sex, male ranked first in the level of multiple intelligences in all aspects; some are musical, naturalistic, Intrapersonal and logical-mathematical, while they both have visual-spatial as last in the ranking, they concluded to themselves. according to our focus-group discussion, that most of them, whether male or female, have poor visual-spatial abilities. Relative to the qualitative questions based on the interview, the respondents appreciate their good qualities on their physical appearance and good attitude. They also recognize those behaviors they need to give attention to improve to be able for them to gain more friends and to prevent contentions against others. The respondents were also influenced by their care-givers about the career they want to pursue someday but fortunately, they are really interested for those profession they will pursue someday. Generally, the respondents acquired skills when they came in to the children's home. Some talents are innate from them that they willingly want to share to others, not just only for the knowledge of other children like them but also to improve more in the specific domain they were skilled. Most of the respondents are actively participating in school and gladly shares their talents but generally because they are under the care of the children's home they learned skills which they can heartily express to those people who are helping them to have good and bright future.
