Summary: EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: The study aimed to determine the life stories, present situations and aspirations of children. Specifically, this study seeks to determine the profile of the children in foster home in Baras, Rizal in terms of age, gender, grade level, origin of birth, and sibling position. The life stories of the children with respect to personal background, family background and social background were determined as well as the present situations of children with respect to present experiences, problems and challenges encountered. The aspirations of the children with respect to their life plans and ambition. It was conducted during the academic year 2016-2017. The subject of the study were the 7 children from foster home in Baras, Rizal described in terms of age, gender, grade level and place of origin, sibling position. The researchers used guide questions as the major instrument in gathering data. The subject was limited to the children in foster home in Baras, Rizal. Specifically, the data that were gathered through interview, it revealed that: on the profile of the respondents in terms of different variables; In terms of age, most of the respondents are age 8-16 years old. In terms of sex, six (6) of them are male and two (2) are female. In terms of their educational attainment, six (6) of them are in Elementary and two (2) are in high school. In terms of their origin of birth, most of them came from Rizal and nacional Capital Region (NCR). In terms of their number of siblings at the same foster home, two (2) of them have their sibling and the rest of them don't have. In terms of their parents status, most of their parents are separated some died because of illness and the rest are still living together. The children life stories; most of the children came from a low-class family that cannot afford to support their studies. Some don't have a parents who can fulfill their need. And the rest have their whole family beside them but cannot show love and care for them. They went to felicisimo Aurora Bahay Kalinga Inc. because of some personal ano family issues. They were longing for love and affection that they cannot find to themselves that is what they are trying to feel inside the foster home. The children's view of their present situations; Children view in life at present time as for their family, they longed a bright future for their siblings and also for themselves. Others feel that they are happy and contented inside the foster home. The children's aspirations in life; As to view their aspirations in the future they want become successful, to go back to their families and to help their siblings for their schooling. Based on the findings presented, the following conclusions were formulated; most of the residents in the foster home are male, who are in between late childhood and adolescence stage, currently enrolled in basic education from Region IV, and with dysfunctional families. Children view their life stories in terms of past and their present life stories. Children's are motivated by challenges that even though there's a lot of challenges coming to their lives, they encountered. Children view their present situations very challenging that even though there's a lot of challenges coming to their lives, they still have a positive outlook. That no matter what happened in the past, they will strive harder to reach their dreams and someday, they will be with their families and hope to fulfill their needs that they didn't feel for a long years. Children who are in the foster home have an aspiration to be successful and have a better future, and to feel the love given by a mother and a father as well. Based on the findings conclusions and facts gathered, the study recommended the following: Local Government Units should strengthen parenting seminar or training to facilitate close family ties. Foster home administrators and their foster parents should provide genuine, love and concern to children as substitute parents for them to satisfy their psycho-social needs to be more matured. Holistic personality development should be integrated in the programs inside the foster home and in the formal school to meet the various needs of the learners. A parallel study maybe conducted using other variables such as IQ, EQ and level of life satisfaction to verify the results.
